Terms of use
These terms cover your use of Murder Mystery Game and the story packs you buy here. The site is run by Land & Cloud Limited ("we", "us"). By buying a story or hosting a game you agree to them.
Your account
You need an account to buy and host. You log in with a one-time link sent to your email, so keep your email account secure. You must be 18 or over to buy. Only the buyer has an account; the friends who play in your games don't need one.
What you're buying: personal use only
When you buy a story or a pack you get a personal licence to host that story as many times as you like, for yourself and the people you invite, for as long as the site runs. This includes stories added later to a pack you own.
The licence is for private, non-commercial use. Without our written permission you may not:
- charge people to play, or run games as a paid or ticketed event, at a business or as part of a service you sell;
- copy, record, share, sell or publish the story scripts, audio, artwork or characters;
- share your account or login links with people outside your household.

Prices and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include any VAT that applies. Payments are handled by Revolut; we never see or store your card details. Access is granted as soon as Revolut confirms your payment.
Cancellations and refunds
See our refund policy. In short: you can cancel within 14 days unless you've started playing, and if something is faulty we'll put it right.
Drinks and safety
Some games let the host pour drinks as part of play. That is entirely up to the host. Nobody is given alcohol unless they choose it when they join, and the host must confirm that everyone drinking is 18 or over. Drink responsibly; non-alcoholic options work just as well. The host is responsible for the safety and wellbeing of their guests.
Stories may contain dark themes, including murder and the supernatural. They're written for adults.
Players' content
Players can write short messages during a game (team chat, ghost whispers). Hosts can remove whispers. Don't post anything unlawful, hateful or hurtful. We delete game messages a few days after the game (see the privacy policy).
Availability and changes
We work hard to keep the site running but can't promise it will always be available or free of faults. We may update stories, fix problems and improve the game. If we ever close the service we'll give owners reasonable notice.
Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer, or our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Otherwise, we're not responsible for losses that weren't foreseeable, or for business losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you've paid us.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version that applies to a purchase is the one shown when you bought it.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
